Hot country, food & shopping

Yours truly went to Bangkok with Mom on 26 September. Mom had HR workshop, so I tagged along.

Felt so bad that I have to leave work behind and flew to Bangkok for holiday :( Anyway, work issue aside hehe!

We took the Airport Rail Link at Suvarnabhumi airport. Train fare is on promotion, 15 bahts one way! Can save a lot from taking taxi from the airport.

If I'm not mistaken, the promotion will end in February 2011.

We stopped at Phaya Thai station, changed to BTS and stopped at Chid Lom station to go to our hotel - Centara Grand Bangkok.

Is really convenient to travel by train in Bangkok. We checked in around 12pm, room was not ready. We don't mind because we planned to go Chatuchak :D

Took BTS and stopped at Mo Chit station. Here's where the hot shopping starts lol!

I can now proudly say I witness how huge Chatuchak market is! I don't know how we found our way to Section 2 - 4 which recommended by Kiminpink (read from her blog about which section worth going for clothes). We were clueless and the only trick is to keep walking and pay attention to the signage haha!

Mom didn't know most of the clothes are free size. She saw me in a shop, walked out in 10 minutes, she was shocked! I told her that the only thing we need to do when we buy is to tell them which item we want.

Mom wasn't interested in shopping at markets. So basically she walked with me and seeing me disappearing in the crowd and find me with new plastic bags. The routine repeats for hours :)

I forgot how many hours we spent walking from shop to shop, alley to alley, we found this stall crowded with humans. Being the kaypo mother & daughter, we squeezed in and bought the life saviour of the day.

They give out coconut drink for free! So nice of them hehe!

Ended shopping around 5.30pm , head back to the hotel because we have to meet Mom's friend, Lily from Myanmar.

Met her at the lobby when we went to collect our room key.

Before dinner, we went to pray at "Si Mian Fo". Is a must do in Bangkok.

Mom brought Aunty Lily and me to.....somewhere, I forgot lol! We took the boat from Sapan Takhsin pier.

We had vegetarian food. It was good compare to the branch in KL.

We couldn't finish all the food haha! I know is sinful, so much so for being a vegetarian for a night hehe!

We were all tired from the travelling from our country. Head back hotel right after dinner. Mom went to Aunty Lily's room, me drop dead after bath. I don't even know what time she came back.

Just to share again, my buys at Chatuchak :)

Hello World!

Tried to load my blog yesterday but was greeted with an error message from blogger, stating that template code was corrupted. I stared at the screen for 5 seconds, googled about the error, did a few attempts with the solutions provided on forum and none of it solve the problem. Came back to check on the blog earlier, changed the template and my dead blog is up and running again. Since I'm here, might as well pen down my thoughts and also what had happened during my absent since my last post. W O R K. As a self-proclaimed workaholic, of course work is the first thing I will touch on ;) I am still working with the same company and as much as I curse during the preparation of each event I handle, I can proudly say I still love my job.
